In Columbus As It Is In Heaven: One City Prayer 2026

On September 20, believers from across Columbus gathered at Hope City Global for One City Prayer, united around one prayer: “In Columbus as it is in Heaven.” From the stage alone, more than 30 churches and seven languages were represented, with more than 44 churches represented throughout the congregation. Different generations, cultures, denominations, and expressions of worship and prayer came together with one focus: Jesus.

Throughout the evening, we worshiped, prayed Scripture, made space for repentance and listening, prayed for the next generation and the flourishing of our city, shared communion, and lifted our voices together in prayer.

One of the most beautiful parts of the evening was seeing the diversity of the Church not simply represented, but received. There was room for different traditions and expressions while remaining centered on Jesus.

Participant Sarah Lepore shared: “What a powerful evening of prayer and worship for our city! It was such a blessing to come together as one body, with people from different churches and backgrounds, united in prayer and worship, asking God for His Kingdom to come and His will to be done in our city, just as it is in Heaven.”

Since 2014, Pray for Columbus has helped mobilize believers across our city in unified, city-focused prayer. We are grateful to continue building on the rich legacy of prayer that has existed in Columbus for generations. And while One City Prayer may be over until the next one occurs in September of 2027, the prayer continues.
