Collage, Craft, Community: A Recap of CreatedCon 2026

“Learning from other creative believers and being around artists of faith is a unique experience I have never experienced. I want everyone to know about this community and grow from it.”

“Creativity needs continued inspiration and community. Get your tank filled with BOTH.”

“The community of creatives from across the country that love Jesus is so inspiring.”

These are some of the responses we’ve gotten from attendees of the 2026 CreatedCon, which took place on September 19 at the Ministry Center of Linworth Baptist Church. We are overwhelmed with the positive reception to this year’s event; people seemed to be truly engaged in and blessed by the talks, panel discussions, keynote address, and Maker’s Fair that day.

Many of the elements reflected “Collage” — our theme describing how God brings together unexpected stories and diverse people to create a masterpiece once unimaginable. Each person who shared did a great job of communicating how God has been at work in their story and tying back to this theme.

5 Years of Created

The day kicked off with a celebration: we hit the five-year mark since the first Created Conference! A lot has happened since then…especially the growth of Created Conversations groups in Central Ohio and nationwide.

Check out this slideshow to get a sense of how God has been at work in the last five years:

Talks

We hosted six lightning talks, two panel discussions, and one keynote address. We’ve been blown away by the generosity of our contributors in years past, and this time was no exception. Thanks to Emily Bader, Joe Deptowicz, Thad DeVassie, Layne Ewing, Aaron Foreman, Mike Jones, Joe Le-Mon, Sarah Shobe, Jeremy Slagle, Dominic Stacer, Gloria Umanah, and Sammy Vasquez, for leading us well.

Our 2026 talks will be edited soon and added here.

Spotlights

Each year we produce a couple mini-documentaries highlighting local creators who are doing amazing work. This year we had three:

Maker’s Fair

Finally, this was the first year we allocated a three-hour break in the middle of the day for a free lunch and Maker’s Fair. Sixteen local creatives showcased their work and process in a “show and tell” format at booths in two rooms. Attendees were able to ask questions and get insight on how some of the best in the creative industry do amazing work. This was one of the top-rated elements of the day!

We’re praising God for such a great day of community and collaboration, and we’re praying for new opportunities to help creative believers connect in new ways.
